Obituary - Bernard Morris

It is with deep regret, shock and sadness we inform you that Mr. Bernard Morris, Honorary Secretary for the past 7 years of the Traditionalist Ragdoll Cat Society, passed away this morning 13th September 2011, after a sudden short but severe illness over the past five to six weeks. To say everyone is shocked and devastated is an understatement that this vital healthy, kind and friendly man suddenly become so ill with no warning, is simply too hard to believe and to take in, but there it is.....

On behalf of the TRCS, we will miss his intelligence, dry humour and sharp wit as all those who were in regular contact with him will understand. From a personal perspective, we had been friends with Bernard and his wife Jenny for almost 20 years, having met this pleasant amiable couple at a Ragdoll Garden party in 1992 and that friendship has grown and deepened to the present day, especially since Bernard joined TRCS as our Honorary Secretary back in 2005. His role on TRCS committee showed his great enthusiam for life which was noticeable as he threw himself 101% into his club role and had also just joined the Ragdoll BAC committee, due to his great love and interest in the Ragdoll breed. Never a breeder but a besotted Ragdoll pet owner, Bernard, together with Jenny, shared their lives with their four beloved Ragdoll cats since 1989 and latterly today own three wonderful Ragdoll youngsters.

We take this opportunity to thank Bernard for having been instigational in helping TRCS achieve success and we are sure our members appreciated his personal touch when carrying out club duties where he was always ready for a chat or to give advice.

Bernard - we all salute you for the wonderful, compassionate and enthusiastic man you were and will always be in our hearts. Our deepest thoughts and condolences are with his wife Jenny, his family and his huge array of friends from many various walks of life.
